The Dark Brother
Some weapons (like Warhammers) make a nice, loud clang sound when dropped, but others sound like a pathetic tinkling sound. Can anyone make a mod that changes the sounds so that when you drop (or knock out of someone's hands) a dirty great shield, it sounds like it? Thanks. Povuholo
This mod changes all combat sounds. Some I like, and some I don't. Just listen to them before installing and use the ones you like.
The Dark Brother
I'm fairly happy with the combat sounds, does this mod do anything about the sound of weapons being dropped? Also, there are two files, one 6mb and one 8mb. Which one are you supposed to d/l?

So I'm not sure either, but I think it's the 8mb one. It doesn't mention the dropping sound in the description, so I don't think he added it. So, do you think that a mod that changes the sounds of weapons hitting the floor could be made?

Not much has to be done, they just need to be made a bit louder. Can you tell me where to find the relevant sound files, so I could do it myself? Edit it and copy the file to the Oblivion/Data/Sound folder. The sound file must have the same name as the one in the .bsa file. I don't know what the file is called though. Vagrant0
Well, the thing is that there isn't a specific "light weapon/shield" sound, instead the sound is tied to all things with the same havok settings as those items. Meaning that if you change the light sounding items at the sound files, you'll likely cause all light sounding items to have that same sound. The only way to specifically change the sounds of those items, and only those items, would be to change their havok material settings with nifscope (It's one of the settings within the havok shape block). This would however require you having the .nifs for those weapons in your data folder, and to go through each one to make the changes.

I'll wait and see if anyone else does it...
