uberubernerd Posted May 31, 2011 Share Posted May 31, 2011 Question: anyone ever heard of the game called God Slayer aka Crystalis Quest? its a japanese NES game that i personally thought was a good RPG now I will give you my idea for a good mod Idea for mod features: - new quests- new worlds- new weapons and armor- whole new areas to explore- new caves to explore- new chests sacked full of gems, gold, and other treasures- new towns cities and even forests- incredably hard bosses to fight with great treasures after their demise- A whole new set of monsters to fight- riches beyond your characters wildest dreams at the end of the LONG chain of quests in order for this to be made a whole lot of research must be donem, I am an ex Crystalis player so i can help tribute to the mods creation for i know what the worlds should look like and what the monsters should look like Important!: some of the monsters cannot be harmed unless you have the proper weapon If i am not mistaken there are still many sites showing everything all about God Slayer The story of the game i am not familiar with nor the plot but i will look it up for anyone who decides to take on making this mod I cannot script or blend but i am taking classes very soon so i can at least do my part I just found the story/plot while i was typing this so here it is im just pasting it from wikipedia..... Story/plot: Crystalis takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, one hundred years after a global thermonuclear war has reverted civilization to a primitive, medieval existence populated with fierce mutated creatures. Science and advanced technology have been abandoned, though the old ways of magic have survived. The survivors of the terrible destruction built a floating "Tower" to prevent any future cataclysms, as its occupants would have the power to govern the world due to the Tower's weapons systems. A man known as Emperor Draygon, however, has revived the forbidden ways of science and combined them with magic. With these skills, he controls the world's last remaining military power and seeks to conquer what's left of the planet by attempting to enter the Tower. The protagonist awakens with no memory, but, guided by four wise sages, gradually learns that the world is sinking into turmoil due to the Draygonia Empire's destructive influence. Entrusted with the Sword of Wind, he seeks to aid Mesia, another survivor from his time, and to combine the four elemental Swords of Wind, Fire, Water, and Thunder into the legendary sword, Crystalis. Together, they must defeat Draygon before he uses the Tower to achieve his evil ambitions. The reason why i want a mod like this is because i have seen good game become forgotten and to be honest that really makes me sad inside so i want everyone to remember the older games in the future by making memorial mods to these great games. the choice is yours if you agree or disagree to do this. if you do agree i will do what i can to help provide info and pictures and what-not. my next idea for another old forgotten game mod will have to wait if you/we ever start on this plus if you do decide to team with people or try to solo a mod like this i wish you the best of luck Sincerely, uberubernerd P.S.
