JDGameArt
This will work for Max 2011 - 64bit... Some of these plug-ins are release picky... As in something for 2009 might not work in 2010, 2011 etc... I'm using max 2011 x64, and to get things to work right I did this... -first download "niftools-max-plugins-3.4.2.4632.exe" here Max Plugins then run the 2009 option, and set up your file locations etc... -Its going to make a folder in you're Autodesk folder marked 2009. -go into that folder and pull out the MaxNifTools.ini file. (move this to the 2011/plugconfig folder) -Then download "niftools-max-plugins-3.4.2.4632-max_2011_x64.7z" (assuming you have a 64 bit max version) and move those files to the correct directory. That should be it. This is how I'm setup and it works well.
Deleted398256User
Thank You.... I just upgraded my system to win7 64 and was pulling my hair out tryng to get this to work. I have two years of mod designing filesbuilt with 3dsmax9 and whould have hated to have to resort to using the "old" max. Your instructions worked perfectly. I have imported and exported previous 3dsmax9 nif's that I deveolped, with no problems. Your a life saver.
thineubaut
Posthumous "thank you" from the distant future. I did a /facepalm when I realized I needed to move the ini from the "3ds Max 2012" folder to the "3ds Max Design 2012" folder
