CrogathiaKnight
Can anyone try to make this type of closed helm please? I haven't seen this type of closed helm in any of the armor mods yet. Here is the picture. http://costumes.narniaweb.com/pevensiesfiles/peterhelmet2.jpg Edited June 5, 2011 by CrogathiaKnight
AurianaValoria1
That is a beautiful helmet! Hope someone makes it, perhaps as a steel helm replacer.
CrogathiaKnight
That closed helm is from Narnia and it's done by Weta Workshop, the same guys who made the Lord of the Rings movie armors. alonsomartinez
The armor also looks pretty interesting! Do you have any screens of that :)
CrogathiaKnight
Yes, it's on my first comment, just click the link. Btw this closed helm from the second Narnia movie is beautiful too. Here is the picture. http://costumes.narniaweb.com/caspianbaddies/52.JPG Hopefully someone can try to make this too. MarkInMKUK
Given the style of helm, it ought to have a flip-up visor, so you'd normally have it up and flip it down in a fight. That would add complexity of course, as it'd be a pair of extra animations and maybe scripting too.
d4em
@ Mark: you cant animate a rigged (attached to the body, all armor needs rigging) object. You could make an opened and closed variant, and include an option to switch between the 2, but not animate it.
MarkInMKUK
I believe someone was looking at animated objects. If you can animate an object (wigs, for instance), an animated helmet might be doable. You can then script the change from static open, to dynamic open-to-closed, to static closed, to dynamic closed-to-open objects. I've stopped assuming what you can and can't do having seen some of the hitherto-impossible stuff that's being done now by some modders.
CrogathiaKnight
@MarklnMKUK You don't have to make an animation of your character flipping the visor up or down, just make it like any ordinary closed helm in the game. So is anyone going to make the Narnia knight closed helm? Edited June 2, 2011 by CrogathiaKnight
CrogathiaKnight
This closed helm from Dragon Age: Origins Warden's Calling trailer looks similar to the Narnia knight closed helm.
