WhiskeyRiver2
Got a weird-ass bug that I'm trying to track the cause of. Specifically, the settlers at Somerville Place seem to have either vanished or walked off the far western edge of the map. Garvey gave me the first quest to get them to join the Minutemen, but the "talk to settlers" marker is indicating a spot literally off the map, and when I actually go to Somerville to check it out, the place is abandoned. Anyone else run into this, or have any idea what could be causing it? I'm only running one mod that changes settlement borders, and I've already tried deleting its changes to Somerville, then starting a new game, as well as starting a new game with the mod entirely uninstalled, yet the issue persists. speedynl
blame the last patch i have seen settlers on the bottom off ocean(warwick) or like you they just wander somewhere, beth f more up then fixing things, but they are know for breaking stuff that works
WhiskeyRiver2
Here's the really weird bit though. I start a new character, different name than the one the glitch happened on. First thing I do once I'm out of 111 is fast travel to Somerville, and everyone's there. So I reload a save from inside 111, change my character name to what I've been using (this is after deleting all the old saves), then repeat the fast travel... And the place is abandoned. How the f*#@ does that happen?

How the f*** does that happen?I had them vanish as well, ended up loosing several hours... I went back about 20 saves to when I just got the quest, then immediately did the quest, came back and they were still there... did it all at night when they were in bed and it worked. Now have a big beautiful settlement there.
WhiskeyRiver2
Hmm. I'll have to try that... I got the quest at night, then ran and got Garvey and his crew set up in Sanctuary (burned a day and a half on that), guess now I'll go deal with Somerville's ghoul problem... I f*#@in' hate ferals. Gonna be -really- pissed if they wander off again.

I could care less it they disappear now (I might regret saying that later!).
WhiskeyRiver2
That's more or less exactly what I did. Now for the really fun part - figuring out how the hell to wall it all off. Terrain in that area is eight different kinds of wonky, gonna be a damn nightmare...
Sandcrab2000
Are you using any mods that expand the build areas of your settlements? I ran into this problem using such a mod. Sandcrab

Sandcrabi don't use any settlement mod, infact i only use 2 mods cs and my own esp and none change anything in settlements, its just a bad ai but beth is know for that
Calzien
I've ran into something like that before since the update, settlers just wandering off and around Sanctuary. They do return but they tend to aimlessly roam around the whole settlement and a number of times I've come back to find them all in the river, especially Preston. Lately though my provisioners insist on ignoring the bridge and standing on top of my turret wall a ways northeast of the bridge. I have my water purifier down there and they just... stand there... WHY??? But yeah, the AI seems wonky as of late. Edited March 11, 2016 by SamusKnight2K
