What was I doing last night?! Amnesiac Start

So, you wake up in a cave, with an inventory filled with empty bottles, an empty gun and bullets for a completely different type of gun. Weird, but not that surprising considering you've gotten yourself drunk off your ass.

So you go to the nearest town - GoodSprings, the sign says - but everybody's pissed at you for some reason. They're slinging insults at you, accusing you of betraying the town. The town doctor's dead, too, and they say it's your fault.

Huh. So you walk down the path, and find some criminals - no good types, with sticks of dynamite and rapey grins. They see you and they wave; they seem to remember you from last night! One even thanks you for helping beat back the NCR.

You WHAT?

 

Basically, I want a more extreme, randomized version of Alternate Start. Where the player wakes up in a random place (albeit one that's isolated) with empty bottles in their inventory. Where his relationships with every society is completely randomized - you don't know whether the NCR will wave at you or shoot you on sight - and various quests are pre-completed or affected as well. Even select NPCs' fates are randomized from the get go.

 

The idea being that it's a perfect opportunity for players to explore. Instead of exploring the land, they explore their relationships, and try to figure out what they hell they were doing last night! They learn about the (very much randomized) character they are now controlling.
