Snap-to grid on ceilings to center lights and other objects

Don't even know if this is possible within the confines of the game engine,

but a snap-to grid system for the placement of items on surfaces, specifically, for example, lights to a ceiling.

 

If you look at the shots below, it's almost impossible to get those lights to line up properly. If there was a system to center objects on ceilings and walls....
