I am stuck on the above quest as I cant drop the Mace on the Grave.

 

I get the message cant drop quest items? anyone know of a fix or a mod that will let me drop the damn mace

It's a puzzle. However if you want to be able to drop that Mace, you have to advance the quest one more step. It involve pickpocketing a certain item from the knight. To say more would spoil it.:)
