Projectile Spread

I'm playing around with shotguns and poking with their spread and number of projectiles, what I've done is set up all the shotguns first to work as rifle as default shooting solid slugs then adjusted the spread and projectile numbers in the ammo to 7-20 projectiles for buckshot, I'm using a minimum spread of 1.4 and Spread of 6 but multiplying it by 2 when using buckshot in he ammo properties all simple & cool.

 

But shooting at a wall at the distance that leaves damage holes I only sem to be getting one impac mark, the spread mods are just affecting the accuracy compared to a solid slug.

 

I've looked in the GECK wiki and the discussion on spread but it's abit unclear on how spread works, it's actually set to zero on some of the vanilla shotguns. So anyone the answers o the following?

 

When a target is hit do all the projectiles hit all the time?

 

If not can you hit multiple opponents?

 

Is it that only one projectile is showing impact of the set fired perhaps?

 

Or is it that the setting of more projectiles doesn't work from the ammo effects?
