vesios Posted March 11, 2016 Share Posted March 11, 2016 anyone thinking of doing something like this? i think it could work if you fire the weapon using the same key as the grenade. just have the shot come from the weapon rather then throwing it. most likely would need the geck though. anyone have any plans for this? vTemporalZEROv Posted March 12, 2016 Share Posted March 12, 2016 Well... just from looking at this for like 2 seconds it automatically made me think Titanfall, then Metroid, and Metroid would probably be possible. Don't take my word for it since I am literally thinking of this as I type it, but you could probably just make a heavy weapon or a large "rifle" weapon that is only able to be held when you have the keyword for power armor on the reference of "Player", and have it have infinite ammo by removing the "ammo" tab, or making the ammo like a companion's default ammo where it is infinite or something.. not too sure but it definitely doesn't sound impossible by any means, just would take some thinking. MarchUntoTorment Posted March 12, 2016 Share Posted March 12, 2016 This was done a few times in FNV with different projects, and presumably can be pretty easily done with FO4 too; you just need to autoequip the weapon whenever the player uses power armour, and un-autoequip whenever they get out of armour. Then you just need to lock off equipping other weapons. The tricky part would be making it work reliably; autoequip scripts tend to be unreliable at the best of times, particularly on low-framerate machines.
