darthbdaman
I've been trying to get all of the menus in the game to match the HUD color. For the post part, this is easy. Just edit the start menu and loading menu xml. But there are now two elements that I cannot figure out. The loading text tips. I got the wheel changed, but I cannot figure out how to change the text tips. I'd rather not just remove them, as I like having them there. The MCM option. I don't really care about the MCM itself, it can stay Amber. But the actual option in the pause menu doesn't match the rest of the options. It's really damn annoying, and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. I'm not sure if anyone has ever made a mod to actually change sytsemcolor and starmenu color options, but that would be ideal. I don't think anything like that exists though. I'm trying to do it with the XML, but I cannot get it to change.
miguick
For the loading screens' text, you have to edit their load screen type's (LSCT record) font color. Luckily it seems all of them use StandardLoadingTip.About that, it seems there could have been other LSCTs showing a selection of your character's SPECIAL, XP progress or current quest objective, but from a preliminary attempt I did, these don't really seem to work. Unfinished content/cut features? For the MCM option, I'd bet it's somewhere in that mod's MCM.xml, probably the MCM_RGB section, but I'm no good with xml. RoyBatterian
They are leftover from F3 and not hooked up in the engine code, several of us have looked into that. You can replace the variables with your own and set them via script if you want. I've been meaning to make such a mod, but I have enough to do as it is. I'd love to see F3 style loading screen stats returned. As for loading tip colors, they should use MAINMENU color but possible have their own hard coded value. darthbdaman
Thanks. I got the loading screen and most of the MCM switched now. The actual menu stuff doesn't change, but I got the menu button changed, so that's what counts.
