Looks much better than the vanilla version. - Kresse I am a believer! Looks and feels so much better! Thanks for this. - VaultBoy99 Thank you, I hated all the clutter. - Raimiette Nice changes. When I first went there I thought it was pretty stupid how junky it looked. It's supposed to be the jewel of the wasteland and instead it looked like any other trash dump town with a few more lights. Thanks for cleaning it up for us. - Dasim4 Just as promised, here's the endorse. Very nice mod, I wish that someday, we might get a mod that renovates most of places to look more pre-war. C'mon dudes, it's 200 years after the nuclear war, NV wasn't even really affected by the war at all, and everything is destroyed? - choojowyczop Really nice! Who wants to live like a hobo? - PinHeadius Four words: I love your mod. Enough said, exept for: THANK YOU! - Lepidus Dude, I love this mod. It makes my game better. Makes the strip so much more beautiful. Thank you for the hard work that you have put into this mod. - killergrimm OVERVIEW The whole point of this on - going mod is to create a Strip that reminds us that there is still some good in the wasteland. By removing the trash, repairing the buildings, and adding more life to the Strip, our goal can be achieved. The NVR Team is working very hard to create the Strip we all want! WHAT DOES THIS MOD DO? This mod cleans up the Strip by removing trash, repairing roads, buildings, and making the Strip a better place to be. DESCRIPTION Almost a year ago, I pre - ordered Fallout: New Vegas in hopes that I would be purchasing the best game for years to come. When I set foot on the Strip that faithful night, I was uterly dissapointed. The roads... well, they had been butchered and ripped apart. The ground was bieng used a personal toilet, and the buildings didn't surprise me when I saw holes in the walls and stains on the ceilings. That is why the NVR Team is working very hard to bring you a Strip that we all expected. Here is what we have done so far: - Removed The Strip Open requirement. - Adds the Grand Millenium casino to the Strip. - Makes Sierra Madre On The Strip compatible with NVR. - Adds a new North gate. - Adds new messages to the loading screens. - Adds a sturdy interior and exterior wall to the Strip in place of those old and busted scrap walls. - Changes the Strip enterance in Freeside, so security and style will be present. - Adds a new enterance to the south wall of the Strip. - Removes the destroyed catwalk. - Added a visable Las Vegas Welcome sign to the rear of the Strip. - Fixes issues around the Strip - Adds more plants to the dirt areas around The TOPS. - Removes the trashy gates inside the Strip - Removes trash, car hulks, repairs buildings and streets. - Adds fix for the removed interior gates. - Adds a paved area next to The TOPS. - Makes the static doors on the left of The TOPS useable. - Adds an entirely new sewer system under the Strip, accesable via the manhole covers. - Many more changes around the Strip. See for yourself after you download! WHAT AREAS ARE CLEANED UP? Every area on the Strip has had attention, even the places that you don't see when you're walking by. Infact, if you enter the Strip, you will automaticly see a dfference right beneath your feet. The roads are no longer cracked and destroyed. Areas and buildings that have had attention: - All of the roads (No more cracks, broken pavement, or piles of dirt) - The Lucky 38 - Gommorah - The TOPS Casino - LBV Station - The Ultra Luxe - Michael Angelos - The Embassy - The Strip as a whole. All of these areas have been repaired. That includes: - Broken walls - Peeling wallpaper - Broken roads - Stains - Loose papers and trash See the pictures for additonal details. Place the 7zip file in FOMM/ Open up the 7zip file and place the .esp and .esm files in this folder path: (C:) > ProgramFiles (86) > Steam > SteamApps > Common > Fallout New Vegas > Data This folder path may be different for some people, but if you are using Windows 7 your folder path should match this one. If you are using FOMM (Fallout Mod Manager), your load order should be positioned like this: [X] FalloutNV.esm[X] NVR-Strip.esm[X] NVR-NPCs.esp[X] NVR_rePopulated_Wasteland_Patch.esp (If you're using)[X] NVR_ELECTRO-CITY_Patch.esp (If you're using)[X] NVR-SMOTS-ELECTRO-CITY_Patch.esp (If you're using)[X] NVR/SMOTS-Version_10.esp (If you're using)[X] NVR-Version_10.esp Make sure NVR-Strip.esm is at the bottum of the .esm list, and all of the NVR .esp files are at the bottum of the .esp list. This load order arangement is used to prevent as many conflicts as possible. Using New Meshes and Textures: 1. Open the 7zip file 2. Extract the folders "meshes" and "textures" to your Data folder (See folder path above) 3. If you are prompted to merge the folders, do so. If you are starting a new game, you need to deactivate ALL of the NVR files before entering the Strip for the first time. Then, pass through all of the gates and enter the Lucky 38. This makes sure that ALL of the scripted triggers have run correctly. Once this is done, acitvate all of the NVR files. Uninstall: 1. Delete the files in FOMM/Remove all NVR files from your data folder. But, you would NEVER want to uninstall, right?
