Smilleyzaa
Currently with a mag that goes to 30, and you have 60 bullets in total, if you shoot one bullet and reload, you only loose 1 bullet in total, even though you just threw away a mag with 29 bullets in it. I would use and endorse a mod that made this more realistic by making it so you would have wasted those 29 bullets, because not only would this fix my addiction of reloading constantly, but it would add that much more tactic and skill requirement, which I love. MarchUntoTorment
I think that there's a mod which already does this? Could be wrong, though. It uses the Fusion Core code setup. Edited March 12, 2016 by MarchUntoTorment
ThoraldGM
Would be interested in seeing anyone's progress on this. Tracking down the source of mag reloads... I think it's handled in the UseWeapon() function, but the old Geck site seems to be down. http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php?title=UseWeapon_(Function)
Mads2peter
I would also love a mod that changes how reload works but I want it a little different. First of all, no more auto reload when you try to shoot with 0 bullets in the clip, just a big "f*#@ YOU" sound (not really, just a clicking sound or something). Second I wouldn't want the bullets from previous mags to be actually wasted (or maybe I do? This is something I would have to try out ingame maybe with a ammo crafting mod since I do think ammo is way to commen?) but rather "stored" until you peform an action which takes some time so it wouldn't be viable in combat unless you didn't have a choice. A bit like how fusion cores work with the gatling laser. So far I have made due by refusing to reload my weapons manually and it is somewhat satifaying me but it is still annoying to enter combat with 2 bullets in the mag and to emulate the first part I would have to constantly be aware how many bullets I have left in my mags and i'm no Sterling Archer. christophermagee
I rather like this idea. I see it as fitting really nicely with craftable ammo mods that folks have already whipped up. I'm not anywhere nearly as talented as other folks, but I could see my behavior getting shifted 'very' quickly by a feature like this.
