In-game textures issue :( help please...

Hi x

I am having so horrible in-game texture issues.

I have been playing fallout 4 since i got it on Ultra and pretty well left the settings alone.

I have modded the game and use NMM. i have a lot of hours in the game so for a long while haven't had any issues.

Early this week i upgraded to windows 10 from windows 8.1 ( not that i am saying this is the issue as i am not sure).

I noticed yesterday that when i now play my game i have texture issues. as i load into my save game and start playing they blur and then seem to jump in and out of clarity. when i watch a texture for long enough it sharpens and is fully detailed. But then randomly they will blurr again and this is for all objects around me, from rusty vehicles, wall surfaces, wall pictures, even settler/npc clothing.

I have some screen shot examples if i can load them here showing the difference between the sharp and blurry.

Is it likely a MOD i have installed or a windows setting? i have regularly upgraded my NVIDIA and updated the mods i have to always their recent versions.

I can post a list of my MODS if needed and i have also used the LOOT thats on Nexus and it says all my mods are fine and in order. So i am at a loss. :sad:

help.

i couldn't seem to upload 4 pics so the best examples are the cars...car1 blurry, Car2 sharp ( dashboard instruments interior of car etc). the billboard was another example.

(sighs)

This may be due to your "VideoMemorySizeMb" being incorrect in enblocal.ini

Honestly it looks like no one really knows 100% how you should set it up, but the setting that worked for me (and others as well I've read) is:

ForceVideoMemorySize=true
VideoMemorySizeMb=8192

You can also take a look at this video by tapioks, it may help get you get an approximate idea to what settings you could try using: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSz84F1kgkM

that video was very interesting and i take it from that i should install ENboost from Nexus?

i installed ENboost and also read the description and installed to my desktop his Vramsizetestdx11.

when i run it to check my Pcs details it came back with this....

Video memory available (Mb): 29536

Now i think he said that its best to allow for browsers etc that use memory too so lets say for safety i went with 28000 mb available, what do i change my

VideoMemorysizeMb too in the enblocal.ini file?

this is what it is currently..

[MEMORY]
ForceVideoMemorySize=true
VideoMemorySizeMb=10000

Well i changed the VideoMemoryMB to 8192 in the MAX performance 8GBRAM folder and then restarted the game and it had no effect at all. exactly the same thing occured.

Do i adjust anything in the MaxStability folder? Also there is a 16GBRAM folder but i didnt touch that as my available memory via the test indicates i go via the 8GB option.

It just blurs again.

Maybe i need to set it higher. the test stated i had 28000mb available with i think means i can go up to about 10000 ro even some more without exceeding my limit. but its just annoying this has started to happen over last few days. :( It was fine a week ago and i havent added any texture packs. only the new DEF HUD mod.

you can set the video mem etc as high as you want it won't change anything. the problem is what they have done within the patches. textures now load ON THE fly to cut down on loading times. but a lot of times it will glitch and textures will be blurry or they won't even load at all especially in BIG city areas. I have 16tgb ram installed and it still does it with me just have to learn to live with it until they hopefully fix it later...
