Can't launch Oblivion after (attempting to) install DarNified UI

I also posted this in the DarNified UI thread:

I opened this with OBMM and selected the second option (the one where I choose which components to install)

I don't remember exactly what I did (it's been a few hours now' date=' the time since I did this I've spent trying to fix it) but I'm pretty sure I did the font stuff first. It started to do it, but then I got some kind of error message or something (I'm sorry, my memory of the incident is really bad, I've been sitting here for hours) so I went back and just did the full installation of the mod, which brought me back to a screen where I got to choose the font again. I remember some kind of error message like "Missing menu_credit.xml" or something, so it couldn't install properly, and since then I haven't been able to start Oblivion.

I tried replacing the Data folder with my backup, I've uninstalled and reinstalled it twice, I've tried loading it without any DLC or mods, I've tried running it after a brand new install, I've been rebooting after every uninstall, nothing is working. I can get the launcher to come up and look at the Data Files, Options, etc., but when I click play, I can hear the music that plays alongside the Bethesda logo for about half a second, and then it tells me Oblivion has stopped working. The only thing I can imagine is that it actually changed something on my computer not local to the Bethesda Softworks folder.

Sorry if this problem has already been brought up and put to bed, but I think you'll forgive me if I don't have time to look through 900+ comments.

Please get back to me soon, and sorry for my awful recollection of the incident itself. Things tend to blur together when you're frustrated and have been looking at a monitor for hours.

Any help is greatly appreciated. This issue has also brought to my attention that I need to make a system restore point, since that was one of the last things I tried, and I didn't have one.

EDIT: My issue has been resolved! If anyone else has the same problem, use this tool
