DanielShougun
I'm sure I'm not the only one who does this: I'm a new thieves guild recruit sneaking into homes and looting every chest I can find, but I wont touch anything out on the tables, bookshelves, on top of desks, etc. Because I know that once I take them they will be gone forever. So, my request/question: is it possible to make clutter (not in containers) respawn-able? I think most people who have been robbed would eventually save up the money and replace their stolen items like dishes since its just too hard to eat hot soup using your cupped hands. I'm not entirely sure this is possible without going into every cell and editing it, which is clearly not worth the work, but if it is possible then perhaps the respawn times can be based on the home-owners class: high-class person would have the means to replace their stolen items faster than someone from those on the low-class. David Brasher
Lots of people have made similar requests. Oblivion is not set up right for this, so it takes tons and tons of scripts placed on tons and tons of new items. Every single cell has to be edited one by one. I made a mod to do this for just the town of Cheydinhal. It took a long time and created a few quirks, because the game engine is really not designed for this. But if you want to be a thief that lives in Cheydinhal, this might be a good mod for you: Cheydinhal for Thieves
Telyn
There is one other mod I know besides David's that does something like this, but it only affects certain shops in the IC. You might be able to use the same methods to make your own locations, though. It's not nearly as elegant. You have to force the spawn yourself. ImpeReal Shops-Oblivion Shop Restock System. DanielShougun
So it is possible but just a lot of work. I thought as much. Well, I don't see the benefit out weighing the cost to do something so trivial. Consider this request scrapped, and thanks to David Brasher and Telyn for your replies.
