I have also been in just about every cave/mine/ruins/Oblivion gate available. I have never seen anything other than Transcendant Sigil Stones. Midas' spell ingredients call for "Ascendant" and "Latent" Sigil Stones. Where can I get those????????

I think latent was the name for low levels, ascendant for high levels. I don't know how you would get them if the gates are already closed... I would imagine that there is an answer somewhere, even if it needs another mod. The alternative would be to just not use those spells.

If you only get those from closing a gate, then you will not get the others. There are only three other alternatives:1. Use the console to go to the Testing Hall. All the items in the game are somewhere in there.2. Use the console to simply add one to your inventory; however, you'll need to find the code for it then.3. Make a simple mod that adds the correct stone somewhere where you can easily obtain it.

Goodfortitude Posted July 17, 2007 Author Posted July 17, 2007 Well, I used the Testing Hall and looked everywhere and I could not find any sigil stones there. So, I looked for the last four hours and, although I have found a couple of sites with the codes for Transcendent Sigil Stones, I have not found any sites listing Ascending and Latent Sigil Stones. If anyone could plz help with that I would be very grateful. As, my character is already a level 18 and I really don't want to open those !@#% ugly gates all over Tamriel again! :)

Also, as to the testing hall, just coc to a room called testenchanted and look in the third box on your left, "soul gems". And by the way, there are five kinds of sigil stones (from worst to best): descendant, subjacent, latent, ascendant, transcendent.
