Finally I stripped the whole thing out- unistalled-re-installed from scratch-re-installed Si-re-installed the 2146 (or whatever) paSI patch then tried OBSE 2 and it works (for the moment). One day I was activating two corrupt mods in mod manager, causing obmm to ''close unexpectedly'', then it would'nt work at all untill I reinstalled the ini file. After this I tried to launch obse and i did the same as yours. After renaming and doing just about everything on this forum or the web I gave up and re-installed oblivion and obse.
