how to kill kayran

after cut off 4 of 6 leg of the kayran and when on the leg what must i do to break down to bridge

 

at the video bridge fall down and clim to the bridge and kill with bomb

 

please help ı am not going on the game witout kill the kayran and can not kill

This could be a major spoiler for some people so therefore it will be in the spoiler tag

 

use two signs ...Quen for protection so that you don`t take damage right away and Yrden to trap the legs of the Kayran so that they can be chopped of or use the Kayran trap that can be bought off of Cedric i think

When you get to the 4th leg watch your screen for the QTE button (continuous left mouse click until the bar fills up and disappears) after that QTE then run up the fallen wall that`s in front of the Kayran and then a cutscene will show Geralt dropping a bomb and the Kayran is dead . Don`t forget to loot the corpse afterward and be sure and drink potions before the battle

[i'm having problems too, what is the yrden sign supposed to do for me. I've tried dropping it close and far, either way it does not hold the tentacles or help me target them. I'm just getting frustrated and slapped to death.

If you meditated and had your fill of potions . Yrden will be like a trap that holds the tentacles down one at a time so that you can take care of it

Took me about 5 tries to kill that mothertrucker. What i did was, drink that potion you're supposed to drink,applied some mojo to your silverblade..

 

When it comes to the actual fighting, this is what i did: Roll,Yrden,roll,Yrden rinse and repeat until you got all the tentacles...see, the tentacles can't harm you if you keep moving.Just remember to watch out if you're in front of it's mouth.It'll spit that green crap and you'll still be trapped even if you're moving.

Heh, I am back at that point now in my second play through and this time I am not doing so well. Funny that...I have a lag every time I hit the 'Q' key and the delay is long enough for me to get smacked. The last time I did this I had no armor, just had him in his breeches, this time I have on the best armor I can get and not getting anywhere...LOL...go figure. I'm trying to figure out what the problem is, seems to be a delay when i use the 'Q' to get the yrden on the ground, even swapped keyboards. Don't know if this is a game bug or what. I'll keep at it... :wallbash:

Heh, I am back at that point now in my second play through and this time I am not doing so well. Could be a memory leak in there somewhere causing the delay . There have been times as i`m playing the game and Q will not work at all...i don`t know but it`s like the Q key isn`t being pressed at all , same with the E key for block . Generally when this happens i will exit the game and sometimes restart the computer just to be on the safe side and all is well afterwards . :rolleyes:

after playing several times with different levels and questroute (meaning kayran as soon as possible or as late as possible) I hate kayran sometimes, too.... but.... the easiest way (it does not count whether "hard", "normal" or "easy") is.... DRINK the poition you build after the fighting with nekkers in the carf under the waterfall just before you will start to fight the kayran (be sure, you don't start the real fightscene), QTE for defeating the poison seems not to be enough for the ingame-logic, then only cut down 3 tentacles (first the second on the left side, then the second on the right side, the first on the right side last)... THEN the QTE (riding the kayran WILL start always)... at this time it is important, to follow ALL QTE signs.... don't forget to jump down on "hard"... the wall will demolish you... after this you have to run for the top of the bridge (rolling and Quenn will be your friend)

Hey..good info. A memory leak never even occurred to me. Thanks for that, I'll give it a try. There have been many times my 'Q' acted like it wasn't even there. :thumbsup:
