Just the ones that force you to watch them by preventing your ability to scroll, or the ones that automatically play sound without you clicking them, ex: every video ad with the old ad provider.
It SHOULD be fixed now that the old provider got dumped on their ass & aq new provider picked up. I imagine the revenue an ad provider can get from this site is INCREDIBLE, if the Nexus can earn a little more than $780,000 from ads, I assume the ad company makes AT LEAST that much, probably over twice as much.

I like this sensible and respectful approach to adds. I also like the ease of reporting adds that act up. When I first started using this site, there was an add that auto-scrolled to the bottom and wouldn't allow you to view the content. I reported it, and within a few days, I didn't encounter it on the site any more. Thanks!

This would be a great feature, if it worked

Tried to report a video ad, that keeps slowing down my browser about 5 times now, but my whole browser keeps freezing until I refresh the site

Maybe you could somehow make it possible to report an ad without being forced to have it opened in the back?

Hi

2 times for ~10 pages I've been sent to an adult dating site... not possible to get back. I don't mind the ad content but it's super annoying to be unable to go back to the nexus. I can't really say what ad did this since I'm sent away before being able to see whats causes it. :-(

It seems like there was a reprieve from the obtrusive ads but they seem like they may be sneaking back in. I've gotten a few auto sound video ads over the past week and I just got a freeze on a site page I was loading while 3 Am. Express ads opened up 3 tabs on my browser, in addition to another sound video commercial playing at the same time.

Again, If you don't report them using the report function, OR get a screen cap we have no way of letting the third party ad company know what ads are being hijacked by the slime purveyors.

Then there are the lower than slime that hijack the entire ad process and send you to their ads instead of the approved ones.

Check your browser to be absolutely sure one of the slime haven't hijacked your browser homepage with one that looks identical but is tied into a hijacked ad site.

Programs like JRT can help find these, but it is still up to you to fix your own browser homepage if it is being redirected.

Fixing your homepage cannot be done by Nexus or even by a legitimate ad provider.

Re: Malicious ads

Hi! I have never had problems with the ads on the site - and I've been a regular for about 6 years, now.

Today I got, for the first time, a really disturbing ad on the nexus. I was redirected to another page, and I had to close the tab to get rid of it. Not only that, but it was very, very graphic. We're talking dozens of pictures of completely naked women spreading their legs for the camera. This is not something I want to be greeted with when I'm just trying to mod my games. This happened twice, in a period of a couple of minutes. I understand that you need to have advertisement on the site, and that's never bothered me - I'm very happy you can make money that way so that it can be free for the users, but this is not okay. I was genuinely disturbed by this - it's also especially stressful because sudden, unwanted pornography is something one usually associates with malware.

Please, fix this. Graphic pornography is not something anyone should have to be exposed to without their consent. Also - there are plenty of people using the site who are underage.

Please, get rid of this!
