3WINTERS Posted June 5, 2011 Share Posted June 5, 2011 This really strange and i'm curious as to if this has happened to others, whilst playing the game you can change the difficulty at any point. Now, I installed a mod to make make Geralt basically invincible but on the down side, he kinda kills people instantly too. I tried to remedy this by cranking up the difficulty to 'insane' (that didn't help mind you) and played through several level stages with the amended difficulty. however, after quitting the game and coming back to it later, if found my saves to be locked and giving me a message, something along the lines like, "this save game is unavailable with the current game difficulty". That is a backlash of the insane difficulty...it appears if you quit the game it mistakenly records it as dying and therefore all saved games on insane will be permanently locked . Hopefully another later patch will correct this issue . Could also be an issue with the mod...or i think you have to at least finish a game on hard to be able to even play on insane . swordsman5 Posted June 11, 2011 Share Posted June 11, 2011 Might it be possible to switch to Insane partway through a session and then just before you quit, switch back to normal or easy before making a save.
