Just a small annoyance

Recommended Posts

Feel free to dismiss me as picky but I noticed that 'compilation' is spelled wrong twice in the ToS:

Do not upload compliations of other users work irrespective of whether the authors of the work you would like to compile together have agreed to your using their work in your compliation. For example: no “my favourite mods” lists or “best weapon” compilations.

Sorry if I'm just being picky :P

I noticed that a LOOOONG time ago.

But I didn't want to say anything in the fear of looking nit-picky.

Because when you look at it on a scale... It really is a tiny insignificant mistake :P

Thankfully you took the plunge for me ;)

Unfortuantely, they rapidly become out-of-date, many authors don't like having orphaned versions of their mods being distributed, and so many people have different ideas about what makes a "Best of [fill-in with your perferred reason to have a compilation at all]", that the site could easily be chocked with them. Many having only a few mods different from each other.

What we prefer here is that people post to a "Best Mods for [Game]" topic, and provide their lists, (with reasoning and links, if possible.) This gives lots of folk a chance to chime in, different perspectives and styles of play are supported, and there's an easy way to refresh the lists as new mods appear. All without clogging the Files Area with duplicates of the material that's already there.

Exactly what Thandal said.

That's why I'll never like compilations. If you provide a link to the mod it's a lot better because then you'd have the most up to date version without putting up with bugs from the previous version located inside the compilation.
