I Have currently playing around with 3DSMAX and have made a new cuirass and greeves. The theme of the armor is for a necromancer battle mage yet I keep getting stumped on how a I could make it look more menacing, so I need suggestions.

Work in progress

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Skull helm, addition of ribs to chest piece, or atleast raised portions that look like a ribcage, continue with the bone motif over arms, shoulders, and legs... Maybe add some hints of red for the necromancer design, and the padding area of the belt. Chain portions may also look cool with some subtle hints of dark red.

Okay well i have some new screens. i have used some existing map from bethesda creature list and human torso as a sort of engravement. as for glowing textures does anybody have link to tutorials as i dont think 3DSMAX's video post would work.

Shoulders look better, chest still looks a little plain. I think it might be due to how the neckline is setup, there's no collar piece, it just looks like a malformed extrusion of the chest. Also the material looks a bit too leathery now. Try using the skeleton or lich textures as an overlay instead of the human torso. Guess I like the idea of a ribcage etching, with the necromancer insignia merely painted over it. You know, aim for a something Gigeresque.

Okay i have gone back and edited the Body armour so that its less organinc and have applied an edited goblin texure over it. i had tried to add a series of spikes to the shoulder pads yet the result was ugly.
