lgpmichael
A little more plugging for the new mod I am working on, another milestone was hit today. The secondary branch of the story has now been completed, adding another 2 hours of gameplay to the story, for a total of 16 hours now. Primarily what I desperately need right now is some modelling and texturing work. Some of it is simple, some is very complex, so if you are a basic modeller or an advanced modeller looking for something to really test your skills, there is something for everyone. Everyone who produces something that the game needs gets advance access to the game at the point they hand in their work. Currently it contains: 2 new worldspaces10 new and very complex and original dungeons1 new village30 more indoor areas that aren't dungeons, but are not just cosmetic scenery220 scripts (averaging around 100 lines of script, so at a guess, somewhere around 22,000 lines of script code, not including dialog based scripts)182 AI packages2,000+ lines of dialog6 new major NPC's and large changes to a dozen existing NPCs Its current status:Main quest, primary branch: CompleteMain quest: Secondary branch: CompleteMain quest: Primary Branch secondary split: Concept complete, not started coding yetSidequest 1: CompleteSIdequest 2: Concept in progressSidequest 3-6: No progress yetNew Artwork: 16 pieces required, 5.5 complete, one promised, leaving 9.5 needed. PLEASE contact me if you are a modeller who can help!Voice Acting: None yet, around 2,000 lines expected to be needed. Volunteers gratefully accepted. All races and genders needed.Beta Testing: Expected to begin in about 6-8 weeks, I will ask for volunteers just before it starts. And here is another screenshot... http://www.toomanysites.org/screenie3.jpg I'm just doing a little advance plugging here, to try and get people a little interested in the mod I've been working on. It goes by the name of "The Hole" and is a mystery / epic mod involving primarily problem solving, but with a healthy dose of some pretty tough combat. Its main features are 14 hours of gameplay (more without fast-travelling) in the main quest line, and a number of side-quests I am just starting to work on now. The storyline is to solve a mystery, which takes you across Cyrodiil to solve it, and which has consequences of what can really only be described as epic proportions (I just hope I've managed to make it friendly enough with other mods!) Because it is a mystery, I won't be detailing the storyline, and because it is heavy on problem solving, I cant really describe those either without spoiling them. I will say it ISN'T a hack and slash game, you don't get massive new overpowered weapons in it, you do get an exciting storyline, and you get to enjoy the Oblivion game engine being used in ways nobody else has ever used it. Its main quest is multi-branched, each main branch has consequences for the rest of the game. Edited June 8, 2011 by lgpmichael
lgpmichael
And as a quick example of dungeon size, a typical large dungeon in the mod has 1,200 objects in it, whereas, for example Miscarand has around 1,000 (And I still need to clutter), so these are some seriously beefy dungeons {:-)
Kuraikiba
Hmm, I know how to arrange stuff, clutter, and make dungeons in the CS. If you need help with that, I could help.

Thanks, but Im good for that kind of thing. Cluttering is something I can do when I'm not in the mood to turn my brain on and do the scripts that need doing {:-))
