nivea
You can not make changes to bodies/armor you will need a problem like Blender for modeling and a program like GIMP for textures changes.
stevie70
[...] you will need a problem like Blender [...]as if i didn't have problems enough already... ;-)
gallows1
ok i see that i can get that one for free but on a scale from 1 to 10 1 being the hardest how easy is it to use for this stuff. i tried 3ds max but couldnt get any files to load at all(either a bad download or im completely inept)
nivea
um well... it does take some getting used to, but if I can learn to use it (and I am very unskilled in everything sadly..) anyone can.I would put learning blender at about a 4, the more advanced you want to use it the harder it will get... but the easy stuff is very simple when you get the hang of it. Start simple and work your way up, I think sickleyield tuts are pretty basic and to the point. http://sites.google.com/site/sickleyield/uf3clothingconversion
sabrinafwarbic
i've been trying to do the same thing. you can get models for 3dx max which might help. there are modders resources available. if you look at one it shows you how its been built up. you might need a program that allows you to work with dds. (direct draw surfaces) pm me and I'll tell you how far I've got..I'm getting there slowly very slowly all the best S
laochra
Im gonna go for the long shot here, are you trying to edit an npc's appearence; their hair. eye colour, skin colour etc - all can be done in GECK OR are you trying to actually modify the nif models? If so you need the modelling programmes outlined above.
