IonDune
I've been working on a house mod for a while, and have been planning an indoor pool for quite a while. I am now at the point in which there is no way for me to procrastinate any longer. I made a test cell with a couple of building blocks, and my idea failed miserably. My first idea was to use the castle stack pieces to make a room 4x5 pieces (2 high, of course) and have the interior 2x3 lower blocks floorless to allow room for a pool. I can't seem to find a way for the pieces to line up without some serious editing; nor can I seem to handle the collision models in nifskope. I really want to avoid changing meshes beyond the reaches of nifskope because my past feeble attempts have caused more problems then they have solved, though I am willing to give that another try in the future. As for now, I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas or advice on making an indoor pool, or if anyone has done it in the past and is willing to share meshes (they will of course be adequately credited). Thanks for your time!
Vagrant0
Having trouble understanding what you're talking about. Which statics are you specifically using? Have you tried turning on grid, or adjusting the positions (by double clicking the placed static)? Have you considdered using another static of some sort to hide any gaps? Anyhow, water is controlled uniformly throughout the cell, everything above is dry, everything below is water, this is usually the part that throws people off when planning indoor pools and such. Otherwise, isn't your problem more concerned with just trying to get some statics to line up?
DeusXMachina
I don't really understand your problem also, but there are some housemods which already have some nice pools. Aranmathi is one of them, perhaps you get some clues if you have a look how it's done there.
IonDune
I'm sorry, I guess I didn't make myself clear. I've got the water part down fine. I actually already have one room in my house with a pond. My problem is getting static parts to line up. I've been using the statics under Architecture>CastleInterior for nearly all of my mod, so thats what I was hoping to use for the pool room. I was going to use the piece called "CastleStack4way" for the bottom of the pool by removing the roof, but I could not find a way to alter the collision model for the mesh without exporting it from nifskope, and in all previous cases where I did that I ended up with broken .nif's. I know that I will one day have to learn the correct way to edit meshes, but I was hoping I could put that off for later and complete the indoor pool with ingame meshes. And either way, I can't find pieces that fit well for the sides of the pool. The pool in that aranmathi mod looks cool, but I want to stray from drastic changes in theme (going from castle to ayleid) if all possible. I guess I'm just looking for suggestions for static pieces that will both make a good, large, indoor pool and fit with a castle interior theme. Vagrant0
Looking at the .nif... Basically, you just want the floor tile, or am I missing something? Anyway, there are a few statics which are just the floor, if you find one, you could probably just retexture it. Some of the Alyied ruin floos for example could be used, arfloor05 for example is just a flat floor tile with an entire image over it. You could probably find one of the existing castle testures to work with it.
Sypron
Then there's the implication of having the castle building part not having the hole in the floor. Unless of course you've already jumped that hurdle.

Since I'd be using the existing castle textures, half the problem is already solved.
IonDune
Thanks for all your help, I think I've got the problem solved. I first built the outside walls of the room with the "castlestack" statics, and left the inside empty. Then I took the "castlestack4way" mesh and removed both collision and the floor piece and used that to tile the ceiling. Now I'll just use the ayleid floor pieces to wall the inside of the pool, like you suggested, and everything should be good. Thanks again!
IonDune
Sorry about the double post, but I've got a couple more things to add. I found a way to easily allow exit from the pool. I used the door that is used for towers (looks like a ladder) and placed it at the side of the pool. I then took another random door and hid it in an unreachable place beneath other statics. Then I set up a teleport between both of them, and put one of the markers right outside the pool by the ladder. The other door (and thus the other marker) are irrelevant because the door is not reachable, and now there is an easy way to get out of the pool. Also, I am in need of help again. I completed my pool, and added a balcony around the room. I was wondering if anyone knew of any static pieces that could be used as steps up to the balcony and/or some sort of diving board for players to jump off of the balcony into the pool with ease. Thanks again for all your help.

Thanks again for all your help. There are some throneroom stairs, there are also some Alyied ruin stairs which could probably just have another texture applied to them. There are a few other types of stairs, but most of them are wooden, so may not look right. You could also probably use some of the ARblocks, retexture them, and set them up like stairs, and use some other pieces as railings.
