iceburg
I own the GOTY version of Oblivion and Morrowind, and so I downloaded Morroblivion from its official site. The mod is well done; I've been enjoying seeing Morrowind through the eyes of Oblivion. However, the in game map is extremely low detail. I'm currently using Dynamic Map and Map Marker Overhaul, and I'd like to mod a higher definitian map of Vvardenfell onto my game. I got some a high res picture of the map of Vvardenfell (along with one of Solstheim) and patched the two together, using the ingame Morroblivion map as a templete (to line up the is Solstheim and Vvardenfell correctly). I resized it to 2048 and turned it into a .dds with Gimp. It looks epically better than the ingame map. I did the .esp hex edit and the in game map shows up in all its glory. Its quite nice. Now comes the problem:All of my balmora map markers are way up near mar gaan. I've scoured the internet to find a clear explination of the Map Data Section of the World Space Editor and have come to nothing conclusive. If someone could explain this to me it would be much appreciated. I think that usable dimensions will limit the amount of the .dds that will be seen in game. And I guess that the cell coordinates are the x and y coordinates of the most north western and south eastern cells that the map covers? (so like the ocean NW of Solstheim and the ocean SE of tel branora? So if I adjust these maybe my map markers will center correctly? But I was wondering if there is a science past guess and check. I used the in game map to line up solstheim and vardenfell. I blew the map up to the high def size (man was it blurry) and placed the high def images over it. So the ratios should be right. But then I cropped it differently. The in game map had an ocean below Vvardenfell that was unplayable and twice the size of the playable area. I cut that out so I could use more pixels for definition. I understand if this messes me up, but it seems like if I can understand the map data section than it should be alright. Thanks for helping me!Iceburg
