This has become somewhat of an annoyance to me and I'm willing to bet it's the same with other people.

 

I don't play Caravan. Not that I believe its stupid, or a bad idea, or anything like that. I just don't enjoy the game itself.

 

That being said, I still like to collect the cards (that was spurred further when I took all my collectors editions off the shelves to clean them off, and went through the New Vegas' Collectors edition. The deck of cards is still pretty awesome to me).

 

Now, to better explain at least one of my suggestions, I refer to the keychain mod(s?) Oblivion had, that took all keys in your inventory, and placed them into one item, that could be clicked on like a drop-down menu to access the keys within.

 

My two suggestions (please let me know what the validity of each one would be, and whether or not this would be a waste of time):

 

Suggestion 1: Some kind of 'card holder' that we can have in our inventory, that acts the same way the keychain for Oblivion did (for new vegas, instead of a 'drop-down' menu, it can be done the same way mods for weapons are done).

Suggestion 2: A display case of sorts. This case would show either side of the cards (possibly a choice to be made by the player placing the cards in it?), with a special case designated for those cards that are part of the 'Dead Man's Hand' collected from the Dead Money DLC.

 

The second suggestion is more ambitious than the first, and I realize that. Chances are there would have to be new textures made (which can be created using the CE of the game by way of the deck of cards that came with it), for either side of the card.

 

Maybe I am alone in this, but I really enjoy collecting all the different cards. I think its one of the lesser thought of aspects of the game. A lot of people probably wouldn't think this was a good idea, and would most likely place it as a waste of time. There are those of us, myself included, that would applaud anyone who wrote this mod up and made it available.

 

As with any one else that has made suggestions, I would make this myself, but am literally lacking in both intelligence with the NV geck, and in time. Also, I have seen nothing of this sort in the Nexus; I am also at work most of the time I lurk through the Nexus, meaning a lot of the forums are blocked. Please let me know if this has been brought up in the past.
