Mod Request: PC Swears when breaking a Lockpick.

Gonna revive this request to voice my interest in this small QoL feature. I've dug into the CK to look at a theoretical way to implement it. I've noticed that the character dialogue for lock picking success is handled by Story Manager events, with quests and dialogue objects that correspond (DialogueGenericPlayer quest, PlayerLockpickSuccess branch and a few other objects I don't remember exact IDs for). I also observed a branch and topic for PlayerHackingFailureDialogue which contains appropriate "Damn it" and "Ugh" dialogues.

 

So, if my understanding is correct, this could be achieved by:

 

- Catching the event triggered with a bobby pin breaks

- Using either a script or Story Manager event to trigger a dialogue from either the PlayerHackingFailure branch or a new branch/topic with the same shared dialogues.

 

 

I, regrettably, don't have the skill or understanding of Story Manager or the quests/branches/topics associated to put all of the pieces together.
