walshy71 Posted March 23, 2016 Share Posted March 23, 2016 (edited) My game is doing the same mate, I think it's mod related in my game, and I would suspect the same for you. I have a suspicion which of my mods is causing it. I need to do more testing to confirm but I'm pretty sure it's mod related for your problem as well. I can play for hours if I'm not near the place but as soon as I enter that cell and stay in it, or leave it, it eats up all the memory and I ctd. You may be using only 368. Mine is at 509 because I have a silly amount of NPCs added to the game. Battles with 30+ NPCs are not uncommon in my game. Run Skyrim Performance Monitor to see what your hardware is doing. Last year I was getting lots of CTDs. My ram was going though the roof because I stopped using the ENB/ENBoost executable. I used SPM to spot the problem.It will spot system stress as well. I am dealing with that now. I usually play Skyrim at 1440 at 60fps with ENB. I get next to no CTDs with this setup & there is no stress on my GPU. I then decided to play at 4k at 40fps & now I CTD every 3 to 4 hours & my GPU is totally stressed(98% all the time). This is with no change to my load list. It is also a good idea to see if the problem is in the save or in the game. You do this by creating a test character. If this character CTDs in the same amount of time, it is in the game. To give you an example of this sort of problem, back in 2014 my saves started to last 10 minutes. I created a test character & it was fine. I checked my download dates with the date I started having issues & the only change was that I updated the unofficial patches. I rolled back the patches & my game was good again. After I finished my character I updated the patches again. I hope these bed time stories help. Later I got rid of safety load as Sheson's memory patch which is now incorporated into SKSE handles that error much better. Plus safety load can introduce it's own unique bug into the game save. Im currently exclusivly following neovalens install process aka STEP and i have learned a lot and i have not had any problems so far and the game is currently running fine not that i really have any mods only a few none peeformance/memory heavy like alternate start/live another life.
