Smart scrap mechanic

I don't use fast travel. And I like the idea of modding weapons/armor on the go, when finding workbenches in the Commonwealth. The ugly truth is that you waste resources when doing so. Because if using junk with multiple components to build something, the ones not needed are lost. There should be a mod that corrects this ( for example, using the adhesive from a duct tape in a recipe...the cloth that remains will be added to your inventory), or add a function to the workbenches to scrap junk there (without dropping them - same as the weapons-). What do you think?

Also something that could be integrated into this sort of mod - the ability to break down objects directly from the inventory, or in a workshop inventory at any rate. I've found I'd much prefer to break down objects preemptively, I'd much rather have an inventory consisting of just components and know exactly how much I have of each, then having an inventory overflowing with different junk items which are only broken down when necessary, but currently, the only way to do this is to drop each and every item on the ground and scrap them all individually using workshop mode, which is time consuming, and can result in smaller items getting lost or becoming unreachable. A 'breakdown all junk' function would be good, a 'Break Down Item' hotkey in the container management window would be even better.
