shan735
Hi all :) I started downloading mods here for a while now, but I only learnt the basics and well...for now, I dont have all the time in the world to make one myself, or actually use more complex tools to make sure Oblivion works properly. Anyway, I've noticed for a while that some mods I've downloaded and extracting into the Oblivion Data folder on STEAM, I noticed that some mods don't show up on the Oblivion Mod Manager (Otherwise known as OBMM if I'm correct?) Most of the time, Oblivion Mod Manager detects my new mods, and I can activate it or just check the box next to it, and it'll appear in the game... However some mods like this:http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38865#fileanchor whether, I extract it using WinRar or 7-zip, it still won't show up on the OBMM. Also... I want to uinstall Oblivion without the mods, and install it again, hence having the "Vanilla" Oblivion, however I installed it back from Steam, and every mod was still checked so I thought..."That...absolutely failed :')" Anyway, please help...I'm still a newb at this :')Thankies :)
Mortrix927
Try using OBMM's OMOD creator. Click where it says "create" at the bottom, then you'll get another window. Click where it says "add archive", point the dialoge toward your 7z/zip/rar file. If you get a dialogue box that says this ccontains an OBMM script, say "yes". If you get one that says "this has more than one esp", still say "yes". After a few seconds of watching little blue bars grow and shrink, you should be looking at the original window. If there was more than one esm/esp, there should be a list in the box below the buttons. Pick the one you want to use. Click create OMOD. The window should close by itself when your done. Now, in the right window pain of OBMM's primary window, you should see a green box with your mod's name on it. Click that. Watch little blue lines again. When that's done, You should see little blue box with your mod's name on it. Your mod is installed. If you want to deactivate the mod, right click on the blue box and select "force disable". To deactivate non-OBMM mods, remove checkmarks from mods listed on the left. If you've been playing a character with the mods, and wish to play the vanilla-it would most likely be best to start a new character.
