Kezriak
windows 10 64bitgtx twin frozr 970 16gb ddr3 1600mhz ramI5 4670 3.4GHZ quad corefallout 4 installed on 120gb SSD cpu usage sits around mid 60s to a high of low 80% unevenly across the 4 cores, ram sits at 6gb of usage, gpu is at a high of 60%, for some reason though my game lags like crazy in certain areas even though none of these system components are maxed out or close to it. My pagefile sits at 7gb with a high of 9gb on the odd occasion, usually this is when the game lags and fps drops from 60 to a low of 30s. The settings in my control panel have been messed around with, I have moved the pagefile off and onto my SSD, adjusted the minimum start amount and max, nevertheless the game ignores the settings and just uses it pagefile almost all the time and dumps memory onto it. I've turned off the pagefile only to have the game not even start, please help.

SharraShimada
You have 16GB of RAM, what should be more than enough for FO4. But: Your GPU is at ~60% load. Thats only the chip itself. What about videomemory? It sounds to me, your videocard is running way out of memory, and therefore the game starts using the swapfile to "buffer" video-data. Because of the slower datarate of system memory compared to video-memory, it starts lagging. You wrote you use GTX 970. So you have ~4086MB of videoram. But: are they also effected from the memory-gap? (last 512 not bound with full cache?) and are you using many high-res textures (too many 2k oder a few 4k)? Another issue could be the area as it is. Where do you experience those problems?

Where do you experience those problems? So I took your advice and looked into it, apparently my core clock is running at near 100% capacity at all times. I really dont have any reason for this, no grass mods, only ones i got are true storms and the texture optimization packs. The biggest drops are anywhere with long distance views to them and/or the downtown boston region. Im also rocking the dynamic shadow fps mod aswell so idk. No enb or sweetfx reshade to speak of

SharraShimada
You could use http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/102/?tab=2, and try various settings. And yes it sounds crazy like hell, but higher settings (when chosen the right ones) can improve performance and stability very much.
