TimmyTheNerd
First, I'd like to say hello. New to the forums, obviously. My name Timothy, I go by Tim, Timmy, Timmo or Timothy so take your pick. I have my own youtube channel (Just search my forum name) where I talk about nerdy things. I am 22 going on 23. I think that covers an intro, lets get to the questions. 1. I just got Oblivion three days ago (friend talked me into it after I got hooked on Fallout 3). I have the expansion and all the DLCs, and I notice something lacking. Something that I was hoping would be in the game but isn't. ROMANCE. As a roleplayer and gamer, I tend to enjoy action stories with Romance involved, and the lack of romance in the game, mainly the chance to get married, sort of turns me off of it. It's one of the reasons I enjoyed the Fable games. With that said, is their any mods out there that allow you to court an NPC with the possibility of marriage? Preferably one that doesn't limit the NPC you seek to court? 2. Is there a mod that adds children to the game? The lack of them kind of kinda disturbs me since I'm a roleplayer and yeah,,, >_< 3. I noticed some race mods and I was just wondering if there are any highly recommended Half-Orc race mods out there? 4. This one is sort of a personal preference, but is there any mod that allows like...Cloud Strife sized swords as weapons? I'm talking massive weapons. Don't get me wrong, the Warhammer, Battle Axe and Claymores are nice...but some of them seem a bet...meh. 5. Final mod one. Any mods that add fist/claw weapons to the game? 6. First and only non-mod related question. Is there a way to get the orc to have a blackish gray skintone? I like the Blackrock Orcs in Warcraft and would like to try and make an Orc in oblivion have a similar appearance.

Just type in "dating" and it should come up. 2. Not to my knowledge, but I'm sure there's one or two out there. Of course, I don't think it would be too hard to make your own in the CS... 3. Sadly, no. I haven't found any worth a crap, most are just human skinned orcs or green skinned humans. Although, if you do find one, please let me know! 4. I'm sure there's loads and loads out there. Some people I've seen even complain there's too many. 5. It's likely, since there is a total lack of fist weapons in vanilla. 6. Actually, you could. I'd start by making a new race, and then retexturing the orc skin for that race only to a darker color, and then voila! You have Blackrock Orc race. frakle
I have little to no modding capabilities. No, I mean really easy. Like, adding in new races, and changing the height easy. For the children race, that is. As for the orcs... I don't even know :P Edited June 13, 2011 by frakle

Telyn
Hello, and welcome to the Nexus. Lots of us here are nerds and/or geeks, so no worries.1. There are some companions that are romanceable and romance quests and mods. Some of them care about what sex the character is and some don't. Here is Valtierro, a male companion who doesn't care. Here is Dairanath Avari, another male companion romanceable by either.Ahnassi is a female Khajiit and it sounds like if your character is female you can only become really good friends. That one has no sex, just romance.Saphirias Romance and the Djinnis Chamber is a romance quest mod. The Romancing of Eyja is a pretty famous romance quest and companion mod. She doesn't care about sex or race. Ruined Tails Tale is another famous companion with a complex storyline. There is a romance option. He is a male argonian.Viconia DeVir is a female romance companion based on a character in Baldur's Gate II apparently.Goranga Dating System has eligible men the character can marry.Housewives adds women to taverns you can marry. Now it also adds men. Author says it is like Fable. The Wedding Self-explanatory. Marry your beloved companion.2. Children...there have been some fairly unsatisfactory attempts. There is a project going on now on the Bethesda boards to make better children. Existing child mods look like little adults and the girls definitely adolescent. Think ages roughly 13-15 but shorter. If you search on "child" you will see what little there is. Modem's Life has some kids but they were very teenlike. There are some pregnancy mods, too but it's just clothing, no birth. If you search on "pregnant" you will find some. Another option to consider is using a small race mod like hobbits. Skyrim will have children.3. There are many orc and half orc mods here, and they range from very humanized/attractive, to very brutish. I like my half orc to look half orc, so I use the one in Additional Races DTC v4. There are some much more comely ones if you just search on "orc" though in the libraries.4. There might be something for you in the Final Fantasy Mods List5. Yeah, several kinds. If you search on "claws" in the library I hope you will like one or more of them. 6. Here is a grey skintone orc race. http://www.tesnexus....le.php?id=37770 Note, I have not played all of these. I just did the searches for you. I have used the half-orc and I use a hobbit race for children. I have used Modem's Life but I removed it in favor of another mod that adds NPCs. TimmyTheNerd
Thanks for all the help. By children I just want to see NPCs walking around that aren't adult, it should be enough to put my mind at ease cause the lack of kids or teens (beyond a few skeletons I've discovered) kinda makes me wonder about the Empire's future XD A few things: 1. I meant giant sword more like:http://www.3dexport.com/items/2010/02/15/23489/22643/requiem2.jpgBroader and a bit longer that Claymores. Only common sample I was able to think of was Cloud's Buster Sword. All the bustersword mods I found look to erm...futuristic I guess? They don't look like they fit in the world of Elder Scrolls. 2. My friend told me of a 'beautiful' mod that makes everyone in Elder Scrolls look a bit more pleasant, anyone know what he's talking about? He says it's calle dthe Beautiful Mod or something like that. I can't seem to find it. 3. Are there any interesting Faction mods (if they exist)? 4. Any common mods that nearly everyone uses that are helpful for new Oblivion players?
