N3C14R
I'm trying to remove the scars from Geralts face but I've run into a little dilemma regarding of what I think is the alpha channels. I already removed the scars from the the geralt_h1 file and tried redoing the alphas on the geralt_h1_n file. But when I add it into the game the shading/deep cuts for the scars are still there. :verymad: http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/7489/twtch220110613211758.pnghttp://img35.imageshack.us/img35/4082/twtch220110613211742.pngAny ideas what am I doing wrong? hismastersvoice
The mesh is most likely deformed there. If it is, there's nothing we can do about that now.
naked blade
Someone else mentioned this earlier. The scars are part of the mesh and that is what you are seeing. I don't think at this time anyone has been able to import a modded mesh back into the game, but I could be wrong. Going by the pictures though....good job.
N3C14R
Ah well, at least I know it wasn't my photoshop skills at fault. :) Edited June 14, 2011 by N3C14R
swordsman5
Nice work, looks like the scars were received a long time ago and are fading with age. This makes sense with his chopped up looks from the first game.

Ehh, from a realistic point of view, if you got sliced by a sword deep enough to cause loss of tissue / deformities, the scars will look really nasty. Especially since they didn't have plastic surgery back then.

There again Geralt is supposed to be about 100 years old and the Witcher training and mutations enhance his recovery speed, and scars do fade, the ones I got in my youth are virtually invisible now ....40 years on..... and at the time I got them it was very rare for anyone who wasn't a burns victim to get plastic surgery. So I stand by my previous comment.

paulhutcheson
I know this is an old topic and I am not sure if anyone even checks it anymore but I am new to the forum and thought I would post a response to this. It looks like the scars are part of the normal map so you will need to change that to get rid of them. The shadows are probably also baked into the diffuse map by adding an AO map overlay so that would need to be corrected as well.
elene1
hi, My skin is clear, glowing and all around awesome and I attribute this to these pads alone. Will never be without. I use them every other day. Wonderful. ipad
