MdamA
So i have tried to make a new sound for the Desert Eagle mod (Ported by stabcobs made by ryz866). I wanted a new audio just for myself. I have downloaded an mp3 of the desert eagle sound from Call of Duty Modern Warfare to replace the current sound. I converted it into a wav using multixvm. And i cut it down using audacity because the sound effect wasn't single shot. It sounds completely fine when i play it, but INGAME it is barely noticeable. ZerasCETA
The sound effects in the base game are highly amplified compared to what we might consider normal volume outside of the game. Have you tried comparing it side by side with the original provided by the mod author to make sure your sfx's volume is similarly amplified? If not, I probably don't need to tell you but amplify is one of the first options under "effect" at the top in audacity. I would also double check that it's a stereo recording and not mono. You can easily convert it to stereo if it's not. Edited March 31, 2016 by ZerasCETA
