NEED SWORD MESH

Sigh. This is what always used to happen when I used to try making that sword into a nif; it only exports a couple parts. Not all of my mesh went through, only the bottom smidgen of the handle, the lower half of the blade, a little cutlet of the gem, and the left half of the wave spike. I might half to stop with this, I just don't understand why this happens, and why only with this mesh. If anyone out there has any clue as to what's going on, do tell, please.

I said a blender file or a nif file. A blender file by itself won't function ingame. To make it a working file, it would have to be converted to a nif, but thats the whole problem, it won't export right so I can't import it to nifskope and save it properly.

Hmmmm.... The saved file as it is right now, try sending it to [email protected]. I got nifscope, not too sure how to use 100% but if u tell me exactly what to do then maybe my comp will convert it correctly

Combine the weapon into a single object, that way it will export. You should be able to preserve any seperate materials or textures after you combine them. You should only have additional meshes within weapons if you have a scabbard, or moving parts. Combining meshes also ensures that the base point remains correct for everything. If you have seperate materials or textures, those pieces, eventhough combined in blender, should be seperate in nifscope as a part of the export process.

If not, try to export it as a 3ds or something where all the pieces are present, I should be able to piece it together into a nif.

It should have nothing to do with that. This model is the only one that never worked for me.

Combine the weapon into a single object.

It already is a single object. If I go set the window to object mode, the entire sword is one piece.

If not, try to export it as a 3ds or something where all the pieces are present, I should be able to piece it together into a nif.

The way I do it is to export the model as an obj, then import that to nifskope, replace the textures it has with the ones I planned it to use, add a similar collision, and save it. This method has always worked for me in the past.

It's quite a shame, but that old mesh just won't work out. It had over 1.5 thousand faces, which, in many peoples' opinions, is much too many. I have started anew on the sword, and I came up with this using a much cleaner method of modeling suggested to me by a friend. Surprisingly, it contains only 62 faces  .

Edit: Oh Jeez, the faces are all inside out. What does one do to reverse them? I know they mention it at this link in the section named "Getting Your Sword Ready to Export: the UV Map", but all they say to do is refer to the previous section's remarks. No so remarks did I see.

Edit Again: Nevermind, all I had to do was make it smaller and smaller until it reversed in on itself, then make it as big as it was. I then (because it is upside down) rotate it 180 degrees. Anyway, that new image (second one) is the newly textured version of the sword. I hope you like it, and don't worry, there's a really good chance this will work out.

I guess I just don't understand enough about meshes and textures. If you can find me somebody who'll turn it into a nif, I'll send them the model and textures. Otherwise, when it comes to weapons and armor, there's not much else I can do than modeling and adding textures in blender.
