Armor & armor skills simplified: mod ideas / questions

I would like a mod which makes all armor use the same skill; a new, single skill, that all armor use is based on.

Yes, combine light armor, medium armor, and heavy armor into just "armor use" or something;

the name is not as important to me as the realism of the idea behind it.

 

I realize there probably is not a mod that does this yet, as it is probably a bit of a pain to go through and convert every last item,

but I thought I'd ask anyways;

maybe someone has found a way to do the conversion automatically and thus faster...

or

maybe people have an idea of how one could, in theory, make this idea work by using the console to set your armor skills.

 

Perhaps a mod that just levels up your other armor skills automatically, along side the skill level of your primary, chosen, armor skill?

 

I know of one mod that attempts to remove all medium armor and its concepts from the game,

separating former medium stuff out into either light or heavy,

but I do not know of a mod that goes "all the way" as I would like (see above).

Unarmored would have course still exist and be appropriate for most dodge type activities, though I dare say a few armors may want to be relegated to the unarmored category of "clothing"

For example, does the following make sense?

 

I wonder if it could be as simple as a mod which did something like:

 

1)any armor skill advancement would also trigger increases in the other 2 armor skills (unarmored not included)

 

+speed of all 3 armor skill's advancement is reduced by 33% or so for each additional type of armor you wear beyond one

(to prevent people getting armor skill up unnaturally fast by wearing all 3 different armor types
