extract audio dialogue files

Recommended Posts

Hi Nexuscommunity!

I`m pretty new to this but have a growing interest in modding , especially after I saw what you guys accomplished in all the games. I`m looking forward for the engine editor from cd project to start my long way as a Modder :)

However while playing the Witcher 2 , I recognized that the Dialogue Audio Files are pretty messed up in terms of volume, sometimes you won`t understand one word without subtitles. I don`t know in which languages this problem occure, I`m playing in English.

It is pretty easy to solve the volume issue once I have the Audio files, but Is there a way to extract these Audio FIles from the game and put it back after fixing this problem?

Hope you can help me out!

Ps: I`m a Music Producer, but have lots of interest in the Sound sector, too. So If you are working on a mod and searching for new Music Compositions, Dialogues or Sound Designs ( for new items,Bombs,Magic etc...) to accomplish your ideas,

I`d love to help you guys out! Just give me a message and we can definetly work something out!

I wonder why some people don`t have this specific problem.

Well there are many that I can remeber all specific scenes....First I guess many of the Dialogues in the Camp at the prolog , many lines from Ioverth , Geralt himself often gets really low in his volume

there is a thread about this problem at gog ,

http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_witcher_2/any_way_to_raise_dialog_volume_without_raising_sound_effects_ambient_noise/page1

it seems that the problem is only in the English version from what I read.

In truth mate I haven't noticed anything wrong with any of those sections, Geralt's voice goes low in pitch quite often as he is making a point or being sarcastic, but I've never had any problem hearing what he's saying, and that's from a man with permanent tinnitus in both ears thanks to too many loud gigs!
