So I've been looking for a mod to enhance my combat experience in Oblivion and I've found two really good ones. Deadly Reflex and Unnecessary Violence. I don't know which one is better though, so if possible I'd like to know if these two mods are compatible with each other and, if not, which mod you would recommend.

UV was made to be used with DR 5  so yes they are both compatible. (I would not recomend using dr6 tbh, while what it can do is impressive, its is extremely buggy and not realy worth it more then for testing purposes IMO)

@Micalov thanks I was wondering the same thing :)

@Trolander, I havent played UV in a while not since I was somewhat a noob at modding and what not.

But in terms of exact features Version 5 Of Deadly Reflex is very solid. It still has the awesome decapitations, throat slitting, dodge, nose breaking etc. etc. that we've come to love in DR. Version 6 has things such as kicks, as well as an "improved" horse combat. I haven't tested DR6 myself supper thoroughly but based on what I'v seen so far I think I'm going to stick with it DR5, its just a lot more stable, simpler to install, and honestly the frustration you may experience in DR6 (CTD, clipping, broken key mapping) won't really add up to the given features. I am certain in time though they will be sorted out :)

As for UV Ill have to try that out

If you're looking for mods that affect combat per say I might recomend Oscuros Oblivion OVerhaul, or maybe FCOM as a whole, but honestly I don't really like FCOM, just too much work lol. OOO Basically is a complete overhaul of Oblivion I can't really describe it in two sentences. Word to the wise you will die a lot with this mod. lol :P

As far as combat mods that's all I got. I'd say DR and OOO are almost kind of a staple when it comes to the modding community.
