micalov
Do you have steam version of the game with the latest update?

davidlallen
It may help to read the pinned FAQ in this forum. If you get the message that libvorbis is missing, it is because you have not installed geck into the proper directory. Install it into the same directory where FNV is installed. davidlallen
The libvorbis.dll in the FNV directory works properly with geck. If you are getting a message about an invalid libvorbis.dll, then you have not installed into the FNV directory.

Im sure I replaced it the third time a few hours ago
davidlallen
I am not sure what to suggest. The message you have reported does not appear when both FNV and geck are installed in the same place.
deu58
The correct directory is, Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas Do not put it in the data folder. Make sure your GECK version is 1.3. and is actually the FONV GECK. On the official page the links for both FONV and FO3 GECKS are on the same download page. FONV GECK has only one link and is at the top of the page and there are two FO3 GECK links are at the bottom of the page. Sometimes people have still been getting the old pre patched FONV GECK even though they are using the official Bethesda down load site. People have thought they had the right GECK only to find out later that either they down loaded the old version or even the wrong GECK entirely. You will also need the current NVSE v1.0 b10. from, http://nvse.silverlock.org/ Looks like there may be a newer NVSE now but the v1.0 b10 is the one they released for the GECK 1.3 update and I know it works. davidlallen
Many people feel that NVSE is useful for modding, but it is not necessary. I recommend to setup geck first, without worrying about NVSE. If you start to learn scripting, and find that certain things are complex to do, then you may want to look up the NVSE documentation and see if anything there would help. It is worthwhile to make sure about the correct version of FNV geck; but the problem with libvorbis needs to be resolved first.
