Sync182
I've just checked DAO-ModManager for the first time since I had to reinstall Windows on my PC (and, summarily, also reinstall DA:O). DA:O recognises that all my DLC is installed and working, and my savegames load just fine. The problem is that DAMM can't see them (neither the overrides nor the dazips) as being installed, even though the paths in DAMM's options are set correctly. To DAMM, all it looks like is that I've got a bunch of .dazip and .override files copied and waiting to be installed. Anyone else had this issue with DAMM? If so, what did you do to fix it? Thandal
I experienced something similar after having to do a complete re-installation of DAO and all related content. The fix for me was going through the "uncheck (disable)/uninstall/delete" process with EVERYTHING except the official DLC. I did this to ensure that there weren't any remaining references in DAMM from before my un-/re-installation of the game to the former locations of the mod files. Then I went back through manually ensuring that the two mod folders used by DAMM ("...\mods\dazip" and "...\mods\override") were completely empty (obviously no DLC should be in those folders anyway!) Last, I placed the mods I wanted to use back into the appropriate folders for DAMM to recognize, and re-installed them. Everything worked properly at that point. Let us know how you fare. Good Luck!
Sync182
DAMMit. I was afraid it would come down to something that. :wallbash:
Sync182
Well...I've been dreading a task that didn't need to be dreaded. Turns out (after disabling all non-official DLC in the game, removing every mod in the DAMM folders, then starting to put back the ones I actually wanted...hoping that I didn't need to clean out my Override folder in My Documents...staring blankly when a "returned" dazip still didn't show in DAMM and thinking I'd have to do a complete uninstall of DA:O and start it all from scratch) that the problem was in DAMM, after all, and bloody easy to fix. :psyduck: All I needed to do was go into DAMM options and point the Dragon Age folder locations in DAMM to the correct My Documents folder (seeing as the path name had changed on reinstallation of windows), and all was instantly fine. DA:O was perfectly okay - after all, I had to reinstall that so that the registry settings were done, and copying the old My Documents folder over worked easy. But DAMM didn't know that, did it? :wallbash:
Thandal
Sooooo... it wasn't a DAMM problem, it was a PIBKAC error! :teehee:
