Dead Money DLC glitch with Dog/God

Like it says, he's not even in the cell, I didn't think anything of it until I went back up and played the holotape and nothing happened. Then I watched some videos clearly showing him as being there right when you walk in to the police station. Is there a way through the console that I can force him to spawn or something? I'm pretty pissed that I was having such a good time with the DLC and I ran into this huge bug..

 

UPDATE - So I found a mod that skips the whole quest entirely, and places me at the "Fire In The Sky" quest. However after using that, I have shortly realized I'm still out of luck. Dog/God is not at the fountain, because he never was spawned in the first place, therefore leading him to wherever I am supposed to take him....is impossible. So I did - completeallobjectives <refid>, in order to try to bypass it, then when the main objectives were forced complete, I did - CompleteQuest <refid>. It caused it to complete. Now all I gotta do is get the ghoul where he belongs, and see if everything moves forward from that point.

 

Also, I don't know if this topic is in the right spot, I almost put it in the mod troubleshooting section. If this is incorrect in placement, I can delete my post and re-make it.

It might be because of a mod conflict, could you attatch a txt file with a list of your mods?

 

have you tried going to the police department on another save? it might have just happened once

Actually, after brute forcing my way out of the initial quest glitches through the console stuff, I completed Dean's and Christine's portion of it, and everything within the Sierra Madre worked perfect. I just finished the DLC and I am back in the wastes. Hopefully if anybody is having the same issues they can find my post after googling it or something, and find their way out of it.

I'm afraid I ran into the same problem and the only way I could work around it was to complete the quests involving Dog/God using the console like you did. I think it has something to do with my mod setup, but can't pinpoint it. I installed a lot of Dead Money fixes with one called Dog's Reign (or something along those lines). Removing the plugin (and all others) didn't do anything to help. The map marker always pointed to the casino and the "moveto" didn't do anything, other than place the map marker at my feet (not my actual feet, but the courier's).

 

I had a similar problem with Christine but "moveto" worked for me. She was also wearing reinforced Sierra Madre armour, suggesting that she spawned as if I was at a later point in the DLC. Where Dog seemed to do the same, it didn't explain his disappearance.

 

So far, I've had no other problems and managed to talk Dog down who happened to appear in the kitchen. Thank Dog for that. I mean... whoops.

I don't know where else to ask about this, but this seems like a good place. Okay, so in Dead Money, after I finish the dialogue with Christine after she comes out of the Auto-Doc, I simply can't move or do anything. Can't use anything, can't open up my Pip-Boy, I even tried noclip. I seemed to be in some sort of cylinder-shaped invisible wall with infinite height that not even noclip could pass. Anyone know why this might be happening?

Im here from the far off year of 2017!

 

In case anyone else has this issue (like I just did) and is googling around for help I was able to solve it by using the console to TCL into the cage, set dog as my target with prid 01001306, moving him to me with "moveto player" and TCLing back out of the cage. Quest can be completed like normal after that
