LadyCat
I had to do a full reinstall of Fallout 3 New Vegas. Everything is installed and the load order is the same as before something got pooched - yet in Wrye bash I am unable to select rebuild patch - its greyed out. Presumably something wasn't cleaned up when I did the full reinstall - anyone have an idea as to what that thing might be? I didn't save my old bashed patch (as it might well have been the item that got corrupted). As far as I can tell, I've repeated the install steps via the nVamp site the same as I did the first time. The load order is also the same, but this time I didn't have to redate anything. When I couldn't select rebuild patch, I thought the redating might be needed, so I redated everything in one group, then reloaded the load order again (via FOMM), made sure all files where checked (except the bashed patch), toggled the archive invalidation setting off and on, then closed FOMM and restarted Wrye bash. Alas, Wrye still didn't appreciate my appeasement efforts, and still refuses to let me rebuild the patch. *pulls out hair* Help to slap Wrye bash and get it to cooperate would be appreciated. :P ETA: Installed BOSS and ran that. Still can't select rebuild patch. ETA2: Problem solved. By reading help document. Bashed Patch's mod author must be set to "BASHED PATCH", with capital letters, "Bashed Patch" did not work. It was"====". What I don't understand is why it worked just fine the first time I went through this process. Ah well, its working so I won't worry about it :P Edited June 15, 2011 by LadyCat
