Weapon Mod Brainstorming

So I've been interested in modding for a while now and I want to get my feet wet soon, maybe when the creation kit comes out. I had an idea because of my dislike for the Assault Rifle and Combat Rifle designs for the base game, also with the ability to make the 10mm pistol an auto pistol. I want to revamp the Weapon smithing system while also redoing some of the weapons and even adding more weapons to make more of a variety from New Vegas and Fallout 3. Here are my ideas:

 

New Weapons:

-Light Machine Gun

-Laser RCW

-10mm Submachine gun

-9mm pistol

-9mm Submachine gun

-.45 pistol

-Anti-Material Rifle

-Unique Triple-Barreled Shotgun (there will only be 1 in game with a special legendary modification. You will have to fight a strong enemy to get it from them. Late game weapon.)

 

Redone Meshes and textures:

-Assault Rifle will be turned into the R91 Assault Rifle from Fallout 3 with a custom mesh that differs from the original

-Combat Rifle will be turned into the Battle Rifle from New Vegas (M1 Garande) with the retro futuristic twist.

 

New Ammunition:

-Electron Charge Packs (Laser RCW)

-9mm rounds

-Shotgun Slugs (Triple-Barreled Shotgun)

-7.62 (Light Machine Gun)

-Energy Cells

 

Revamped Weapon Smithing:

-Pistols can not be turned into auto pistols (which is why I decided to make submachine guns)

-You can not change the ammo type that a ballistics type weapon uses (the sniper rifle will use .308 and the anti-material rifle will use .50)

-The way to change a laser pistol to a laser rifle is by changing the ammo type from Energy Cells to Fusion Cells, also locks the grips for the Laser Rifles for the Pistols and vice versa.

-Ammunition crafting

-For every bullet shot the player gains the shell of that type

-Adds gunpowder to the game under the chemistry station with a custom recipe

-The Player will be able to create base weapons with schematics found around the Commonwealth and from Store owners

-Special Modifications that give your weapon a unique stat boost or ability such as:

-Energy Recycler (New Vegas)- adds an energy cell every 3(or 4) shots

-Custom Rifling- Better hip-fire accuracy for rifles

-Laser Sight- Better hip-fire accuracy for pistols

-Carbon Fiber parts- makes the weapon lighter and changes the textures for the weapon

 

This is all I could think of for now, if there is something that you think would make a great addition to this idea send a reply and I'll think about it and maybe mold it to fit these ideas if it needs it. Everything that I am doing in this mod will try to keep immersion for the game as well as making it more realistic.
