m3dicat3d
Well, I tried the Survival Beta/Patch1.4.5. When I opted in to the beta, and tried to load up, I CTD'd each time I tried to load the game. All the mods were disabled as they were intended to be (all esm's and esp's unchecked), I even disabled Automatron (and tried it enabled too). Whether I load a saved game (modded or not) or tired a new game, the CTD occurs after the main menu load screen starts. Tried loading from Beth/Steam launcher, and again, same thing. Now the really crappy part about this is that I backed up my FO4 folder(under common), Saves, and ini's. I opted out of the beta, and when I restored the backup folders, I STILL CTD, whether on a new game or a save, modded or not. All esm's and esp's were enabled before I tried this, and now it looks as though I have a broken game. If anyone has any thoughts or possible solutions, it would be greatly appreciated. As for now, all I can recommend concerning the beta is try it at your own risk. All of my saves, from three characters post lvl 50, are broken now as a result. rawkus1977
I've had the same issue, I grabbed the data folder and threw it too the desktop, then verified game cache via steam....re-downloaded 24+GB's, but this fixed it :(
m3dicat3d
Thanks, I'll give that a shot, but unfortunately my "gaming time" has expired for tonight. I will post back as a follow up either way it goes in case others experience this as well.
tammurney3
I also had this problem of CTD with mods even after going back to v1.4. All i did to fix was moved the ini files in my documents to my desktop, ran the game with all my mods enabled. I then exited the game and replaced the new ini files the game had generated with the ones i'd moved to desktop and everything works fine again. Hope this helps others having similar issues
REB3603
Worth a try. I thought I had opted out of beta updates and that's what the Update tab tells me, but in the Library, it's Fallout 4 [beta].
m3dicat3d
I'm going to give these ideas a try in the next day or two when I can, but I appreciate all the input (note: posting on Beth's new and improved forum yielded NOTHING so far). If anyone else beats me to the punch on trying these ideas out, please post here, I would be grateful to hear about how they worked.
