shopsD
Correction, I have mods other than yours. (Including some large mods like FOOK, Nevada Skies and Project New Vegas. Check my load order on the first page). The game plays ok thanks to your fix but some textures are missing. The textures were missing before I applied your fix. So far the only objects I've seen with missing textures are pretty much every empty bottle (I used the console (`) button to determine the name of the objects and as I first mentioned, the first 2 digits of their FormID are 00 referencing to FalloutNV.esm. I know the objects are useless but because they are so common I end up with the Red and White Exclamation mark problem. (EDIT: In an unrelated note, for all of you who haven't watched this there is a good fallout fan film on youtube. Name of the video is Fallout: Nuka Break - Fan Film) Edited June 20, 2011 by shopsD
ccmechanic2
You have a mod that changes all those items, Give me some time to sort through them for you, i can Identify which one is causing this issue.
ccmechanic2
Possible candidates are :0C The New Bison Steve Hotel.esp03 Military NV Backpacks.esm0C The New Bison Steve Hotel.esp 14 PortableCampsite.esp++ Military NV Backpacks - BumBagUseSlot1.esp15 Military NV Backpacks - Vendor Script Replenish.esp========================================================Pull these mods up in FNV edit and check which ones contains those items you missing, dis able them one at a time until you see the normal items return, Now when Identified, don't jump just yet, reverse activate the ones from the beginning one at a time and verify the items remain. When you find the mod that breaks the items, remove it from the game and tell us which one, give the author a chance to fix the issue, But before bothering him, re-down load his mod and re-install it first to make sure your not the one at fault, if it continues to do as it has been doing, then take it up with the author, Give him this log linked for him to study, he may use the information already here as I did, I don't have those mods, but I did read their descriptions and they all have things that change these elements. Let me know what happens.
shopsD
None of the listed mods caused the problem. Tried disabling the esp and esm files alone then tried disabling the whole mod with FOMM. Still got the red and white exclamation marks. Here are some formID's and the name from the console selection (There might be a few others but overlapping red boxes prevent me from checking) "ALCH: Scotch" (0010874b) "" (00125ba3) "ALCH: Beer+" (00107cc7) "Empty Whiskey Bottle" (00107cb8) "ALCH: Vodka+" (00107cd0) "ALCH: Beer+" (00107ccd) "ALCH: Whiskey+" (00108756) Edited June 21, 2011 by shopsD
ccmechanic2
All these are in the bsa file.... Archive invalitidate may be corrupted, because other mods were involved, remove all mods and start a new game, right in doc's house are those objects, if they go bonkers too, I would replace your DVD or the reader is defective, imaging of those files is weak. If you know which files you need replacing, there are overhaul nods that will override the bsa files.
shopsD
Disabled all mods and loaded the save. Exclamation marks are gone. I'm going to restore my mods bit by bit until I find the cause of the missing textures, and I will post it here, to see if there are any solutions. The problem is caused by FOOK. I have no idea why though. I'm going to see if I can get it to work properly. Is there anything wrong with my FOOK files. I followed their instructions. shopsD
I'm going to reinstall FOOK and see what happens. I've tried using No - Loose Files and the Loose Files.
shopsD
Fixed it by reinstalling FOOK. One minor problem though. I get crashes on exit even if I use the "qqq" in the console. It's nothing big. It's just annoying. If there is a possible fix pls let me know. Other than that I can now play Fallout New Vegas happily, once again.
ccmechanic2
Fook again? ah man, will it ever stop? They may also have patches for that issue, something changed too so don't for get that. When you get bored with the game, try to reproduce the issue, check and recheck, Either master updated it to much or something injected into it and stayed there, how is another story.
