ijc1927
Hello Community, My question is this. Ive just managed to get my first house into the game world, which im very pleased about because ive wanted to acheive this for quite a while and never had the nerve to do it before, although i didnt expect the linking of the doors to be so problematic, lol. Anyway back to the point, when you load up the CS and choose the ESP of my house mod and set it to the active file so i can carry on working on it, how can i choose any of my other mods to load as well so i can use there resources for my own mod, I;E, i have the imperial furniture mod and would like to decorate the interior of my house with items from that mod, but how can i have more than one active mod at the same time? I hope this makes sense. Also going back to the Door issue, it seems that certain doors are in the CS under a different name than what they actually are, I;E, i wanted the door for BRUMA HOUSE MIDDLE 2, but that door was actually named CHORROL HOUSE MIDDLE 2, is there any kind of list anywhere that explains which, doors, interiors or anything else for that matter, are not under there original titles? Once again i hope all this makes sense, im new to using the CS but im finding it fascinating if not a little frustrating sometimes, lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ARedMoonStudio
You cannot have more than one mod active at a time. However, provided you have the permission of the modder or the resources you are trying to use are modder's resources in their description, you are allowed to use them in your mod. To do this however, you'll need to have the files copied into a folder yourself, just exclusively for your modders resources. Simply create the objects in the CS and do with them what you will. Afterwards, when you are ready to release the mod, be sure to have the resources in the download folder. I may be a bit off here, as I myself am quite new, but I think that's how it is done. Also, help for help would be awesome... ijc1927
http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Creating_a_House Try that out my friend, it helped me out a great deal. Also thanks for the advice i will look into it some more and see what happens. Im not planning on releasing mine as a mod so i dont think i have to contact the authors for personal use do i? If all goes well tho i might try to create another house and then release it, in which case i will of course ask permissions. Im still not 100% certain i know exactly what you mean. How do i make a file within the CS to put the parts of the other mods in that i want to use? Is that what you meant, sorry for my noobness on this matter, lol. Just clicked your link, and the answer i have is what you already said, you left click on your marker and then right click and hold to rotate it so the purple nose is in the direction you want your character to be facing when you go through the door. This works fine for me, so im not sure what the problem, sorry. Edited June 17, 2011 by ijc1927
