gunnargolf
Is it somehow possible to remove Oscuru's Oblivion Overhaul mod, while still using the same save. I don't care if i might lose some items.
Vagrant0
No, this is the downside of using large mods which change alot of different things, once installed you can neither just disable them, or use any games saved from when they were active. To remove you pretty much need to reinstall from scratch and use a new game. Even with using wyrebash, you'll still be unable to use that save since that mod changes so many things which are not limited to just the character. You could probably use an uploaded saved game to get some of the major quests out of the way (just use console to change your race/class/birthsign/skills). Povuholo
To remove you pretty much need to reinstall from scratch and use a new game. With reinstall, do you mean reinstalling the entire game? Simply starting a new game without the esm's/esp's active should be enough. You could always try of course. Remove all your OOO related items and save your game in an interior cell that wasn't altered by OOO (if that's even possible), just to be safe®. Try turning the mod off and loading your save. Because of all the other things besides monsters and items it changes (such as slower levelling and all kinds of magic tweaks) it'll probably screw up your game, but you could try. Vagrant0
well i've downloaded some mods (BIG mods) and i could still play the game without the mod, and no, i didn't started a new gameProbably because those mods were mostly self-contained. OOO, Frans, and similar change several different things ranging from leveled lists, inventories, settings, AI, ect which aren't reverted back to the vanilla state when the mod is disabled. Additionally, since these mods often contain changes to meshes, textures, or add additional files to your data folder, those files will still be in effect even if the mod isn't active as long as their linked to something. If an armor has it's mesh changed, and a game exists with that changed mesh, removing the change to that armor will instances of that armor will appear broken since the game is still looking for that mesh. So you kinda have to do a full reinstall, or hunt down every one of those files and still start from scratch, to remove the mod.
