Is modav-ing my carryweight slowing my game down?

Hail!

 

OK, lets see.

 

IWhat have I been doing with my game:

I have a retail copy of FO3 and it is patched to 1.7

I play the game for 3 years now, out of that one year+ with mods.

During that time, I have been trying out many mods (all of them from Nexus.com but one), changing my load order every now and then - yes, all the time, sometimes even every day. Now I have my choice of mods (more or less).

I made some 5+ reinstals of my FO3 so far.

I use medium quality details.

Every time I started the game over (some 20 times so far), I would change many of my stats via the Console, and my character's carry weight is usually 2000. I always carry loads of guns.

I have all 8 hotheys mapped with guns.

I am using the program called Game Booster for better performance.

I am using FOMM and FO3 edit (edit, master update and master restore) and GFWL disabler.

 

Problems so far:

Half a year ago, my FO 3 suddenly started lagging beyond any playability. Before that, it was running OK, but I had CTDs during gameplay, including the really weird ones happening at the same place in the worldspace. The CTDs also included those when fighting a ton of enemies using the FWE Increased spawns. So, I have realized that I had to update all of my drivers, which I did and now my FO3 is running most of the time, but the gameplay smoothness is still faaar away from the old days - and those were the days, I tell ya: even with some 20 NPC, everyone (and everything) shooting all barrels, explosions, limbs flying all over the place and it almost wasn't lagging at all. Yes, it was running OK.

And now?

What a pile of misery! Sweet Lord Jesus! This makes me wanna jump otta my own skin, man!

Now, every time I play, after some half an hour the game play gradually starts stuttering and eventually starts to lag like hell. Saving the game (with the cursor stuttering in the menu, of course), exiting the game and starting the game again (I use ONLY FOMM - in last two months boosted via the Game Booster) solves the problem, but in some half an hour here we go again!

AND, that's when the game runs, friends. All the damn time, I have CTD on continue so that I have to load an earlier save and the newest one after that. AND NOW - that's today - I gotta CTD on almost every load of whichever save and also CTD on fast travel. So, do I go play Pacman? Nope, that just ain't gonna happen, right?

That load order don't look that bad but I would get rid of all the animy pros and all the stuff that go with that mod and sorry to say i would also get rid of mmm but hey what do I know.

Hey, fren, thanks for answering the topic.

To get rid of the animy pros, you say? Would that improve the FPS?

And as for MMM, I just cannot imagine the FO3 without it.

Yes, both me and Brisa Almodovar got KIA yesterday between Paradise Falls and Minefield when simultaneously flanked and attacked from the front by Muties led by a Behemoth (and outnumbered 4 to 1), but I won't get rid of MMM.

They attacked us from behind obstacles and from 12 and 3 o'clock simultaneously, so that I couldn't see them. I've sprinted like hell to my 8 o'clock, but the Behemoth was faster and that was the end.

 

BUT, after reloading...

 

Too bad I don't have a video of that combat:)
